+ Songs of My Life +

~ Blue eyes Blue by: Eric Clapton – I like this song because it’s so sad. It’s not that I like sad songs, but this one is very emotional for me.

~ The Way You Look Tonight by: Frank Sinatra – This is all time favorite for me and hubby. The song is Classic and elegant for us. This is also our wedding song.

~ Swept Away by: Christopher Cross – This is our bf/gf “theme song”.

~ Canon in D major by: Johann Pachelbel – Our unforgettable wedding march.

~ More today than yesterday by: Spiral staircase – It always reminds me how good life is and how much I love my family (zitros, Lj, hubby) whenever I hear this song.

+ Three thing I can't let go of +

List three things I can't let go of:
1. INTERNET – I can’t last a day without checking my emails.

2. Cell phone – I feel isolate and not connected when I don’t have my cell phone. I also feel secured when I have my phone because getting in touch with my family is one speed dial away.

3. Digicam – My friend once said when we were in Anawangin, “Everything should be documented”. It’s true. My pictures holds special moments of my past that I can easily show my daughter when she grew up.

+ Aging Gracefully +

1. If you could pause your aging process, at what age would you choose do to it? (Meaning you would not live forever, but live for 90 or so years at whatever age you chose).

~ I’d like to pause it at age 26, simply because I stopped counting at 26. And I feel I can do everything because I’m not too young or too old.

2. At what age did you (or will you) consider yourself to be an adult?

~ I consider myself a responsible adult when I gave birth at age 26. Actually, that’s 27 in 2 months during that time.

3. What do you think will be your most annoying trait when you’re a senior?

~ Maybe I’ll be spoiling my grandchildren in the future.

4. How does your current life compare with where you thought you’d be at this point when you were young?

~ During my younger days, I thought I would pursue a career in music. Singing and playing in bars and TV; and having a concert tour here in abroad.

5. When would you like to retire? What do you see yourself doing with your life after retirement?

~ The last thing I’d do is loose is my job so in the future I would prefer a stay at home mom when I retire. Decorate, cook, bake, do some gardening in the house. I didn’t get a chance to do these things now because of my tight schedule. I would also like to tour
Europe with my husband and enjoy each other’s company while we’re still alive and breathing.

+ Mommy Talk +

Let's talk mommy stuffs:

1. What food did you crave when you were pregnant?
~ Chicken! At home or dine out, there should be fried chicken for me.
~ Goldilocks polvoron – hubby would not permit me to eat 2 or more because I might get fat. But I managed to eat more than 2 when I’m in the bus hehehe. I remembered, it feels like heaven on every bite!
~ Buko

2. Did you gain a lot of weight when you were pregnant?
~ I was huge! From 120lbs to 180lbs! Scary!

3. Did you drink milk when you were pregnant?
~ Anmum but it should be chocolate flavored. I mistakenly bought the milk flavor once, but I mixed it with Milo.

4. How long did you stay in the labor room before your delivery?

~ I was rushed to Medical City (from Bulacan) at around 1:30AM. We arrived around 2 or 2:15AM at the emergency room. I was admitted at 2:30AM and gave birth at 6AM.

5. Did you have epidural during labor?
~ Yes, but they gave the spinal anesthesia later on. I was not complaining about the pain. I was just gripping the overhead bar on the bed and trying to minimize my groaning. I was not the shouting and cursing type of person inside the labor room.

6. How did you give birth?
~ I must say, I was very lucky to have a normal delivery. Normal contractions, etc etc.

7. What was your first reaction when you heard your baby's cry and saw him/her for the first time?
~ I was shocked because I never thought that I am capable of bringing a baby to the world. I also said “Lumabas yan sakin?” hehehe.
~ I was relieved when I heard her cry for the first time. I could see the nurses cleaning her up 5-6 feet away from me. I was literally trying to count her fingers and toes from afar, just to check their complete.
~ I smiled when I saw clef chin she got from her daddy.

8. Prior to that moment when you first held your baby, did you know how to carry a newborn?
~ Yes. I have 5 sisters so the youngest was still a baby during my elementary days. I had the chance to take care of my baby sister back then.

9. Did you take a bath after your delivery?

~ No. My hubby and his family are very superstitious. They did not allow me to take a bath for 5 days. They hired a masahista, but not the ordinary masahista or manghihilot. It’s usually the elder woman who knows how. She would come here for the next 3 days and massage me from head to toe. Believe me, it was really relaxing. I felt good and relieved afterwards.

10. How was your first night with your baby like?

~ Hubby and I would take turns when *Lj* cried during the night. Sometimes, I would call my mom first if I had questions, on what’s normal or not.

11. Did you breastfeed your baby?
~ Yes, but it didn’t last long.

12. If you were to pick just one moment from the time you gave birth until the moment you were discharged from the hospital, which do you think is the most special moment for you?

~ The most memorable moment is when I came in to breastfeed her for the first time. She was not hungry during that time, so I just held her in my arms. I felt special because God gave me a reason to live.
