About a month ago, we brought the laptop to a friend and had it fixed. Yes, it is fixed like brand new. Now it is running on Windows 7 with clean hard dish that runs fast. I even had my iTouch upgraded already. The funny part was the built-in wireless card is busted. Our told us to check it first at home and call him if it's still not working. Now he's not responding to our calls. So even though the laptop is fixed, we still cannot use it because there's no wireless connection on it. And I cannot run a cable to it because our routers are fixes peerless mount on the wall permanently and there's no cable long enough too. Arrgh! So I'll have to bring to another tech so have the wireless card replaced and probably add some memory too. It's just so happen that we're always busy with other things. Oh well.
