Two and a half!
Yes! She is two and a half! And after 6 months, we're going to celebrate her birthday again. Wahh time flies so fast. I remembered when she's only crawling and in a blink of an eye, she's already running. Some says, that this is the "Terrible two" stage but for it's the "Terrific TWO" stage because I'm focusing on her achievements and seeing things in a good way.
So here's the milestone based on the Baby center chart.
• Takes off clothes ~ only her shorts and not her shirt.
• Names several body parts ~ Sometimes we play games in naming parts of the body.
• Brushes teeth with help ~ Sometimes she doesn't want supervision and wants to brush her teeth alone.
• Speaks clearly most of the time ~ Most of the time but not all the time. She's still in the bulol stage and sometimes having a hard time saying what she wants.
• Draws a circle and a vertical line ~ She's learning to hold the crayon now.
• Balances on each foot for a second ~ Imitates what she sees on TV.
• Jumps up off the ground ~ She loves to jump.
• Names one friend ~ She tells me that she saw her friend, bon-bon in the playground.
• Carries on a conversation of two to three sentences. ~ She loves talking.
• Names at least four pictures in a book ~ She loves her books, especially the animals.
• Names two actions (e.g. skipping, jumping) ~ She can do those actions too--walking, running, skipping, jumping.
• Uses prepositions (e.g. on, in, over) ~ She's learning everyday.
• Builds a tower of six building bricks ~ Loves to stack bricks/toys and one time we saw her stack cans she got from the grocery bags, and then she would proudly show it to us.
• Throws ball overarm - Sometimes throws the ball overhead!
• Hops and skips ~ When she was walking with her dad in the mall, I saw her hop and skip in between steps.
• Expresses a wide range of emotions ~ When I was on the lappy, I saw her threw her dad's basketball, kicks it and shouted at it. Then she approached me and said, "Mom, I'm angry at the ball." I laughed hard.
• Completely toilet trained during the day ~ ...and night. We are completely diaper-free! Last Saturday, we were in Trinoma. She did number one and number two in the toilet. We are so proud of her.
We recently bought her a set of crayons and a coloring book, so she can be created as early as now. So far, she's doing so well. And yes, she's left handed.
Things like these are meant to be cherished. We are looking forward for more toddler milestones from the little kiddo.
