Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat later this afternoon at the Clubhouse. I just came home from work this morning and hopefully I'll have the power to take the kiddos to the party. First of, sleep at least a couple of hours and then hair and make-up time. Lanna will be Harley Quinn this year and Baby LJ will be uhm... pink skeleton haha! And me? Of course, I'll be the mommy skeleton! Happy Trick or Treatin' everyone!

Sembreak
Sembreak is almost here and the kiddo is excited. We didn't plan much this semester break unlike others who even go out of town. We enjoy savoring the less congested Manila when everybody is on vacation. Second is that I have work. So yeah No Traffic! So what else to do? Of course there's Trick or Treat this weekend that we'll keep the kiddos occupied.

Cleaning up time!
Woke up 5:25am and helped the kiddo prepare to go to school. Had a heavy breakfast and started sorting the stocked papers on the upper shelves, and worked my way down. There's so much paper to throw and sort, plus dust along the way. My mom and house-help joined me when it was time to clean the windows and other shelves. I made sure all are well-dusted and clean. I sorted the books in the wall shelf and made sure current books and school supplies are within reach. The house-help applied floor wax, while me and my mom finished the TV rack. We were literally covered in dust. I insisted we take a break (lunch) and resumed after. We put up new curtains and sheets. I was so relieved to see the room so clean. I took a bath and turned on the AC. My foot was so sore and my back hurts from all the walking. Had a power nap for an hour or so and I felt energized. My foot was not sore anymore. I had a couple of minutes just lying down and doing nothing---enjoying the silence. I imagine myself with a little girl on the bed. I really can't wait.
I had a couple of minutes of facetime with the hubby and mother-in-law. Then at 5pm, the kiddo arrived from school. My mom insist that we go to the mall again. I bought extra pillow, so my hubby will have pillows to use when he arrives next year and a bed sheet for the kiddo's double deck bed.
I had a really productive rest day this week. Next week I plan to sort my make-up drawer and kiddo's study table. Then maybe start sorting and throwing the expired ingredients I left in my baking supply container. I really miss baking and hopefully I can resume baking soon.
Happy TGIF tomorrow.

Check-up and shopping...
It's my rest day today and I was very excited for my monthly OB check-up this morning, only to find out that my OB can't make it and a reliever will arrive. It was already 12noon, so I decided to have lunch first. I called my mom and had lunch with her at Bigoli. I ate a plate of Italian spaghetti with garlic. It was heaven. I made up my mind to just go ahead with the check-up. My questions with my OB will have to wait until next month. Besides, we have no work-ups and I was really feeling fine. So after that, I went to see my mom, who was already started shopping. I bought new born baby stuff--white tie-sides, pj's, towel, recieving blanket, wipes, 2 feeding bottles etc. It's been awhile since I went shopping for baby stuff and I wanted to have the must-have's only. My dad, along with the kiddo fetched us aroung 4pm and decided to hit the other mall. So I was able to buy the tub and comforter there. We had dinner afterwards and went home. I gathered items on the baby and showed it to hubby on facetime. My excitement went up a notch because I really really wanted to see baby Lj already. So tommorrow is cleaning up time...

First day of school
It's the kiddo's first day of school today. She was very excited to go. And it's the first time I did not accompany her on the first day. She said, she's old enough to do it on her own *sob*. My baby is growing up so fast. I pray that she grow up smart, talented, safe, kind and obedient. Sending my love to the kiddo to school.....

Kiddo's Birthday Party @ KFC Congressional Ave
After months of planning, the Kiddo's Birthday party finally became a reality. And all in all, she's pretty satisfied. We picked KFC because based on my survey (haha!) kids (and adults) loves KFC and we're lucky to have a branch near our place. So we invited everybody! From classmates, relatives and friends. I decided no photobooth for now because we wanted it to be as traditional and simple as possible. And yeah, the budget is sakto sakto lang hahaha.
I'm lucky to have a supportive family who helped me prepare for the party... Sister M for the invites, banner and sticker lay-out. Sister A for the banner print-out. Sister Zj for the loot bags. SIL for the souvenirs. FIL for the kiddo's shoes. MIL for the chocolates, toys and added budget and my mom and dad for the cake.
We bought her dress a day before the party at Trinoma and it's really lovely. Suits her I must say.

The host also suggested the 7 dance and the 7 wishes which made the party even more meaningful. Kids enjoyed the games, guests enjoyed the food. Thanks to KFC, it really made our kid's birthday special and less hassle for me too.

@ Room 362 SLMC
It's our second night here at St. Lukes Medical Center. The kiddo's been complaining severe headache and high fever since Tuesday night. We decided to go to the doctor yesterday morning. Several tests were done and the doctor's diagnosis: UTI. The doctor also gave us referral for admission because the kiddo vomited like more than 10 times already. So we arrived here last night with our bags and the kiddo said, she's more than ready. IV, skin test---she didn't complain. She didn't even cry. That's my girl. She's sleeping more comfortable now compared to yesterday. If everything goes well, we might be home on Sunday. Thank you Lord.

Core Group @ Little Angels Home
Watta weekend it is! Kiddo and I went with the rest of the CORE GROUP for an outreach program. April 14: We arrived at Little Angels Homes in Tagaytay with pledges, donation goods and Jollibee lunch for the kids and staff of the orphanage. We let the kids play and eat. The kiddo even gave away the loot bags to the kids in the orphanage.
I brought the kiddo with me because I wanted to let her understand how lucky she is to have a mom and dad with a home and food on the table. Hopefully, she'll bring with her this lesson selflessness and willing to help when she grows up.

~ CORE GROUP @ Little Angels Home, Tagaytay ~After the event, we had lunch at Mahogany, picked-up some grocery at Robinson's and went to Woodsborough log cabin to spend the night. We had a chance to bond with each other and had a lot of me-and-kiddo-time too!
Next day, woke-up early to bath and prepared to go. We had coffee at Bag of Beans and attend mass at Lourdes Parish. Then straight to Picnic groove for our picnic lunch and the kids went horse back riding after. We also bought pasalubong at Rowena's on our way home.
