acne treatments

Some of my sisters, including me were acne prone when we are in our teenage years. Some would say it's the environment and some says it's food that we eat. But I strongly agree that it's hereditary. There's so many procedures on acne treatments in the market. Even if it's acquired or heredity, we still need to treat it and take care of ourselves.

My prayers

I don't usually check my friendster account but two hours ago, I opened my friendster account and I don't know why. While scanning the page, something caught my eye. One of our batch mate posted something on the bulletin board. I was excited to open because I thought it was a reunion or something, but was shocked to see bad news. It was a short and brief message. Our other batch mate died from a car accident last night in commonwealth ave. It took me a minute to respond. And when I came to my senses, I cried. He was a friend and my classmate (second high school). I immediately sent off line message to my best friend in the US. Good thing, she's online and we cried together. Three of us were classmates during our high school days and the news was just hard to believe. I still don't have the full details but I will surely make phones call later today.

What hurts me most is that he's still young and has two little kids. I can't imagine what his wife is feeling right now. Oh my... My Prayers goes to his family.

Drive safely everyone.... please.

zitrobelle moments

I received a text message from my sister A the other day, asked me if I'm available for a girls night out. She said, my sister S (from Dubai) was available and my other sister J too... and what do you know... it seems like everybody was available too yesterday. So I called the office and told them that I was sick haha. I'm not the kind of person who would ignore the opportunity to be with my sisters (family). I would not miss this in the whole world! Besides, I've been working hard these couple of days and I need a break. We went to MOA and ate at Don Hen. Their buffalo wings are the best.

While waiting for the food to arrive, we looked at some pictures from my sister's trip, the wedding and the party she attended. Dresses, shoes, make-up--yes, it's all girl talk! Good thing, I brought lappy with us.

~ Sister S showing her engagement ring! ~

Did I said engagement ring? Oh yeah, my sister S (from Dubai) is now engaged with her long time bf. News were, he (bf) proposed in the airport before her flight to the Philippines last Friday. So she arrived here with the big news and we were all kilig to the bones hehehe!

~ Sister J will also be going to Dubai next week because of work. ~

Three of my sisters are addicted to that DS gadget thing she's holding. I don't understand what's special about it. Oh yeah, I'm not a gamer that's why.

After dinner, we hurried and watch the last full show of Sex and the City. Oh my! I admit, I cried three or four times during the movie. Okay okay! Make it five times! It's a good movie. To all of you, SATC fans, this is a must see movie. There's one thing I noticed, there were cuts in the scenes during the movie.

Of course, after the movie... picture taking! Unfortunately, I only have several shots on my cam. My other three sisters has more shots. Good thing, the hubbies (the hubby and BIL) were there to join us. They were our photographers!

~ Zitrobelles forever! ~

On the way to the parking lot... the hubby and I enjoyed our moments together, fooling around with the camera. All those years, my teeth were hiding behind the metal braces. Now I can finally see them.

Braces no more

I went to the dentist this morning to have my braces removed. Sa wakas. It's been a while. And I'm happy because I have accomplished most of the things-to-do on my list, and this is one of them. Then I came back later in the afternoon to get my retainers. I'll be back there next week because the dentist will adjust the retainers. Now, I've been looking in the mirror more often and kept smiling just to look at my teeth hahahaha. But it feels really good to have them off now. I feel so fresh and clean.

More at work....

It's been hell at work, and lately I'm not happy with the latest news. I was hoping to get good news from the other department but unfortunately, more bad news. This is not that serious, but I just want this off my chest.

But somewhere in heart... I'm still hoping for the best. I know HE has plans for me.

Cocofish @ TEN 02 bar

We were there at TEN 02 bar, Timog around 7:30 pm. My dad, sister and BIL were already there waiting for us. We talked and mingled with other friends and had our sound check in front. There were 4 bands who performed that night and we were the one who played first. I'm still wondering why I was shaking badly before that performance hehehe. Even though I had been with a band all those years, I still get nervous. Anyway, we won second place.

Zoobic Safari

The hubby and I were planning to bring the little angel to Manila Zoo and Avilon Zoo in the future. Good thing, my SIL asked us to check out Zoobic Safari with them. We went there last May 17--Saturday when the rain was pouring. But we kept our hopes up and agreed to go despite the rain. We arrived at Subic bay around 10:30am and went straight to Xtremely Xpresso Cafe' to check out their Big Ben's Pizza I was talking about.

We ordered one Big Ben Pizza, two meat lasagna, nachos and drinks. Believe me, their meat lasagna was very very good. It's a must try! The nachos were good because the toppings was yummy. The Big Ben pizza was baked fresh with various meat and veggies on top. I very much liked the crispy crunch of the crust.

~ BIL posing in front of the Big Ben pizza ~

After that delicious meal, we drove around Subic bay to check what's new in the area and then we headed straight to Zoobic Safari.
~ Hubby and the little Angel ~

God was good to us because it stopped raining when we got there. They still have a Mother's day promo which the mother in a group of five will be free. What do you know? There's five of us so I was free and so is the little angel. Yey.

They have tigers displayed in front lobby so the kids were not bored while waiting. Before the actual tour, we watched a 15-minute animal show. After that, the visitors were grouped in two with their respective tour guides.

First stop was the Serpentrium, where in we walked around to see different kinds of snakes displayed the aquariums.

~ Snakes. ~

Then we decided to pay the extra 50 pesos each for this train ride that will lead us to other sites in the area. It was all worth it since the tour guide was with us during the entire time and we get to see the sites first hand. So we don't need to worry about where to park our cars and our things.

~ The little angel said, "Chu... chu..." because we were in the train-like cart. ~

Second stop was the Safari. We rode the orange Jeepney that was converted to a cage. Then we drove inside the safari area where Tigers roam around freely. We bought raw chicken so we can feed the tigers and see them up close.

~ Inside the Jeepney cage ~

~ Tigers! ~

Then after the safari experience, we went to our train cart and waited for the others to finish. The tour guide was generous to volunteer to take a picture of us.

~ DLS Family: FIL, little angel, hubby, moi, SIL and her husband ~

Third stop was the Tigers Close Encounter. These cages were connected to the Safari area. This is where the tigers sleep, eat, take a bath etc. The tour guide introduced all their tigers-their names and their ages. Believe me, they are huge.

~ This one is resting. ~

Fourth stop was the breeding farm. We drove inside the area and saw ostrich, wild boar and sheep running the around freely.

~ Pose for the camera. ~

Fifth stop was the crocodile pit. There were crocs all around, not the slippers but it's the real deal. Some of the guests bought raw chicken so we can see them move. They said, if they're not going to do anything, they will not move at all. Lazy.

~ Lazy crocs on the left; Feeding the crocs on the right. ~

Sixth and last stop was the museum. They asked us not to touch anything inside because of the formalin and they want to preserve the displayed animals too.

~ Animal Museum ~

The tour guide said, that there were still two others sites but we were not allowed to go there because of the strong wind. We might catch a falling branch from a tree because that site will require us to walk in the forest.

We finished the tour around 3:30 in the afternoon. The rain poured when we got inside the car. Then along the way, we ate at Razon's somewhere in Pampanga. We had a fun weekend and we plan to go places some more. Our next stop might be in Puerto Galera. I'm excited.

moving boxes

My mom and dad are planning to move to another home. We decided that they need it for a change. We lived in our small home since me and my sisters were born. Our house is not that big and fancy like all other houses but we know it's home. My sister was having second thoughts of moving since that house has it's sentimental value to us. But looking at it made us think that our parents need to move already. And in preparation, I found moving boxes on the Internet that will help my mom packed their things and move to our house. I can't wait to help out.

Rolex

The greatest man I know is my father. He was able to give us food, education and take care of us through all these years and until now, he extends his love and care to my daughter. He's always been the silent type and is very straight to his decisions. That's why we, his children, are his accomplishments. For me personally, I want to replace all the goods things that he has given me. I know, no other money can replace it all, but getting him just a token will be great. And me together with my sisters, were thinking of getting him a Rolex. We know that it's pricey that we all decided that it's worth it.

popcorn machines

The little angel and I both love popcorn. If I would prepare popcorn, the little angel would always accompany me and she would wait until all the corn had popped and turned into popcorn. But sometimes, cooking popcorn can leave a big mess in the kitchen. I never liked the microwavable ones because they leave more corn inside. That's why I was thinking of getting popcorn machines. using the popcorn machine, I would not have a hard time making our a favorite snack during movie time.

Sunday Morning

"On Sunday Morning..." yeah it's song hehehe. And yes, it's Sunday morning and I'm enjoying my lappy and the wireless connection here at my parents house. I was able to send photos to the MIL and upload tons of pictures on my multiply account. The little angel was acting nicely today so I was able to spend some quality time alone.

We are here in QC, at my parents house because my sister (from Dubai) is here too. We are spending more time with them since my other sister will go to Dubai for work too.

It seems every body's leaving to another country for work. I was thinking of the same thing but looking at the little angel holds be back. I recommend the hubby to go instead of me. But as of now, we are enjoying our time together. I must admit, we are happier now because of the little angel.

We're gonna to go church later and eat that delicious meal my mom prepared. Hmmm.. I can smell it already. We have a family topic that I need to know first hand from the source that's why I'm waiting for my sister to wake up. So I'll just have to wait until I hear the story from her. I'm excited!

First, I have to uploading these pictures. If you want to check the photos--it's here.

Acoustic Night - Finals

After the elimination round last month, we are now down to four bands. Unfortunately, we are one of them hahaha. Finals will be tomorrow @ Ten 04 Bar in Timog--7pm. We are originally compose of 5 members but the rhythm guitarist decides not to play anymore and our male vocalist is on vacation leave so we are now down to 3 members. Being a fan of music, I encourage the guys to to still join. Just for kicks. At least, we've tried and finished the competition fair and square, without regrets.

~ We are Cocofish ~

We will just play the previous songs we've done in the past since we have no time to practice. This is not a contest for us, but a jam night. I know it will fun and memorable. So to all of you who will be in the area, I invite you to sneak and take a peak. Who knows, you might see me there singing...

British got talent

I started to watch British got talent on youtube when my friend introduced me to Connie Talbot. She was an amazing little girl. But the grand winnder was even more fabulous--Paul Potts. What I really love about it was Simon's reaction during his audition. Priceless...

pool toys

Seems like everybody's always waiting for the summer season to come. It's the time when families get together for a summer fun time in a fancy resort or beach. It's also the time for long time friends to get together and party at the beach. Yes, that's my favorite. But what I love most is the time spent with my little angel. And I made sure that we have pool toys to bring.

Welcome Home Lappy

After much discussions and decisions... I finally purchased my very own lappy. Meet my macho lappy--Compaq C769TU.Specifications:
* Intel 1.6GHz Dual-Core Processor 1MB L2 Cache 533MHz FSB
* Windows Vista® Home Basic
* 1GB DDR2 667MHz memory
* 160GB HDD
* Super Multi 8x DVD-RW with Dual Layer Support
* Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Integrated 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN
* 14.1 WXGA High Definition BrightView Widescreen Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

The first thing I did on the lappy was connect to the wireless, install messengers and update my blog. I still need to familiarized myself on the keypads and I'm not used to the touch pad. I find the specs reasonable for the price and it has everything I need--mainly saving pictures, chatting, blogging, surfing and hopefully photo editing and scrapping? Let's see. For now, I need to transfer files in here, upload tons of pictures online and use my external HD. I'm so excited.
For now, I still have things to do today, catch up with the accoustic night this thurday and Friday and attend kiddie party on Saturday. So time with the lappy will have to wait until I have the free time. Oh I have to buy gifts for the kiddie, print photos, go to grocery... and not mention go to work during the night. Oh men!

Gold

Everyday we think of ways how to secure our family. Like everybody else, we wanted a healthy, secured and financially stabled family. For us, protecting the family's future is the first priority. That's why we are finding ways how to invest in our little daughter's future. We should be financially ready for her health and education. Good thing, my mother in law, suggested to invest on gold. We all know, that gold has been a valuable possession ever since. We buy and or sell gold to earn assets more. We could earn the valuables and use for future purposes. Through that, we could be ready for anything.

Yes! We went there and last Saturday morning. We got Subic bay around 10:30AM and grabbed lunch at Big Ben's famous big pizza at Extremely Expresso Cafe. After that full carb meal, we went straight to Zoobic Park. Good thing the rains stopped when we got there. More pictures once I've upload them.

swimwear

Summer is here and I made sure that I got the right swimwear for the season. I make a habit to buy a new pair every summer since swimwear style can also get our of fashion. I usually go to the mall and check out their latest designs, but usually end up having someone wear the same as mine. So next time I buy a swimwear, I'll be purchasing a pair abroad.

My daughter is a very active kid. She likes to play in play grounds like in the park or in the day care center inside the mall. During her second birthday, we were able to borrow swing set from my sister, who currently owned one for my eldest daughter. Now, we are planning to get a swing set as well, as my daughter keeps getting active everyday.

What's wrong with the world today?

Upon going to work this afternoon. I toke my usual route--tricycle to the local FX terminal bound to Cubao. And take jeep from Cubao to Gilmore. I arrived at the terminal at 5pm and saw couple of people gathered on the side of the area. They were looking at the Green Toyota Revo, who obviously hit the side of the terminal. I asked manang, one of the locals there what happened. I asked, "Manang ano yon banggaan?" Then she said, "Hindi, barilan lang". I was like--"Huwatt?! barilan lang? Haller?!". I asked manang full details on what happened. Apparently, it happened this morning at around 9:30AM. The driver of the Revo was the jeepney terminal president. He was shot and killed instantly by six gun men who unfortunately escaped. The uniformed officials were not policemen, but from SOCO. They were investigating the scene at that time. I was deeply saddend when manang told me that the driver was with his apo (grand child), who was also shot and killed. Nadamay. The grand son was only one and half yr old. Imagine that?! That helpless little baby boy was killed with no reason at all. I even saw his baby bottle on the dashboard when one of the SOCO personnel opened the passenger door. Upon seeing the scene, no one would have survived because there were gun holes everywhere. The killer's intention were not money but power, kase baka kaaway daw gumawa nun. Tsk.

Sabi nga nila, iba na panahon ngayon. Life is too short for them to take it away just like that. It's really sad to think that the world today is not that safe anymore.

Then upon arriving in the office, my friend (office mate) told me that there was a brutal killing in the local bank somewhere in Laguna.

Read on...

9 killed in Philippine bank robbery, mostly bank employees shot in head

MANILA, Philippines -- At least eight bank employees and a security guard were lined up and shot dead in the head Friday in one of the bloodiest bank robberies in the Philippines, police said. One employee was in critical condition in a hospital.

The victims were found sprawled on the floor of a branch of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. in Cabuyao town in Laguna province, south of Manila, after the bank failed to open as scheduled at 9 a.m. and suspicious customers alerted authorities, Chief Superintendent Ricardo Padilla said.

This is the handiwork of the devil and we will not let this pass," Padilla said. "They were killed in a gangland-style execution. Each of the victims shot in the head while lined up."

Padilla said the robbers could have used silencers because residents in the area heard no gunshots coming from the bank.

He said two security guards were missing, leading authorities to suspect they were involved in the robbery. Another police officer, speaking on local radio, said there was no sign of forceful entry. Full Story

Montemar Beach Resort

This is a two-week overdue post. But it's better late than never. Anyway, this is our much awaited zitros family outing for this year. And we truly enjoyed our stay there, even if it's only two days.

May 2 @ exactly 4AM, we left our parent's house with our swimming gear and at around 8AM, we were already there at the site. We had breakfast and lounge around the area. Moments later, we were on the beach. We were all excited, especially me because it was the little angel's first time to see the beach. Proud mother as I am, I was like a papparazi constantly taking pictures of her trying to get her first reaction.

At first, she thinking how the waves worked but somehow she figured it out and enjoyed the sun, water and the waves.

~ Little Angle's first time to hit the beach! ~

The hubby brought his swimming gear and once he hit the water, we can't find him anywhere anymore. That whole afternoon was cloudy, so I enjoyed a good swim.

~ A Whale! Oh no, it's my Brother-In-Law... ~

We ate lunch @ their in-house resto. We rested a few minutes chatting and taking pictures when the kids (little angel and her cousin, Amandine) were so eager to hit the water again. Since it's too hot now to go to beach, we went to the pool instead.

~ Her version of pa-cute. ~

The water in the kiddie pool was up to the little angel's chin but she was never afraid. She was even active to walk around and do her swimming moves...

~ Trying to get a good shot of the little angel in the water. ~

After a few hours in the water, we went back to the hotel room to have a quite nap. The hubby and the little angel was fast asleep that I had a hard time waking them up at 5pm. Then we all went to the beach again to catch the sunset.

~ My sisters, doing some picture taking... ~

Then finally it was sunset. We noticed that everybody on the beach was breathless when the sun went down. And there we were trying to snap a good shot. And this is my version of the sunset. From my point and shoot Olympus underwater digicam.

~ My version of sunset by the beach. ~

After that the lifeguard, gave us the signal to move to the pool since it was already dark. But we went straight to the hotel room again to take a bath. We had dinner at around 8pm and the little angel enjoyed a little company from the kids who were also playing there. At 10pm, the band started to play and the hubby and the little angel went straight to the hotel room to sleep, while I was left there to watch the band. After an hour, I decided to hit the sack too.

May 3 - I forced myself to get up at 5AM to wash the little angel's bottles and gather our swimming gear. I quickly changed into my bathing suit and woke up the hubby and the little kiddo. Then we headed straight to the beach!

~ Little Angel checking out the water again... ~

When everybody was awake, we grab a quick breakfast and headed to the beach again.

~ Mother and daughter moment. ~

~ Checking out the waves... ~

I bought the underwater camera so we can use it during occasions like this. So we took so many pictures near and under the water. Good thing the hubby brought his swimming gear--snorkel and fins, we were able to see a whole new world down there.

~ A whole new world. ~

We also had our pictures taken under water. The shots were too many and some were blurred because it was trial and error. It was very hard to take a snap shot under because it was hard to stay under water. But we manage to take some good shots though.

~ Zitros sister (left); My sister A and her husband (right) ~

After the fun in the sun, we went to our hotel rooms--got dressed and packed our things because it was time to go. We had our last minute picture taking by the beach and on the front gate.
