Cleaning...
I started to play the html codes on this site and finally swipe-cleaned my blog friend list. I checked all the links before removing them. Half of them are no longer valid and the last posts on the other half are 5 and 10 years ago. Oh wow. Facebook really killed the blogging world.
Anyway, updating this blog feels familiar in a way and soo quiet. It's like talking to myself.
I also played and move around the contents on the side bar, so there...

Counting...
It's been 8 days since my last day at work.
I had 4 failed work interviews.
It's 5 days to go before December.
It's been 3 months since I started running every morning,
... and for that I lost 6 kilos.
It's 35 days before Zie's 5th birthday.
It's 36 days before 2020 is over.
It's been 4 months since Lanna's braces were installed.
I accomplished 2 errands yesterday.
I ran 3 kilometers for 32 minutes today.
I added 22 songs on my spotify playlist.
I enjoyed my 1 cup fresh brewed coffee this morning.
I am grateful for that 8 hour sleep.
I am counting my blessings.

Homeschool
It's been 7 weeks since homeschool started. Major adjustment for us since we go to traditional school ever since. Good thing my eldest can manage her needs on her own. My challenge is my 4-year old because she can be a handful at times. Then imagine times 12 kids so it's chaos. Good thing my kid experienced going to school last year so she's familiar with her teacher, classmates and the routine. My main concern is that she gets distracted easily. Because we are at home, her attention goes somewhere. So I really can't leave her unattended. It's skill assessment this week and I think we are doing okay.
One thing homeschool taught us is TEAM WORK. We learn to adjust and do everything together all the time. Since I'm working from home, I can monitor their needs and progress. So I can say we are enjoying every minute of home school ever since it started.
Happy Mid-Week!
*Sending good vibes to all*

How are you?
After 3 months of quarantine.... how are you?
A lot happened these past few months. Everyday we dread the decease that affected the whole world, and the battle is far from over. Sometimes I push away the news on TV and social media because I don't want to be stressed. Some news are over rated and exaggerated that you don't know if they are telling the truth or not.
So i'll just leave it to that....
.....On a different note. We've been working at home these past 2 months and it's been stable so far. The convenience of working from home has A LOT of perks. I can stay at home with my kids, cook, watch TV and exercise. Yes, there's time to exercise! I was not able to maintain my passion for running but I make sure to exercise to release the toxins away.
So I finally upgraded the laptop's specs and it's not cheap at all. But during this time, it's worth it.
Another topic I want to mention is HOME SCHOOLING. We are all new to this process and I hope this will turn out better for the kids... and for me too.
Just finished my shift and it's late.
Hope you are doing okay. *random thoughts cleared*
Goodnight for now.

We are now spending more time with our family and doing the things that we end up not doing because we were too busy with work etc. And that's me with blogging. Yes, here I am going back to that one thing I love... blogging.
For now... let's be safe and be healthy.

Flickr is the place to be
I remember how I maintain all my 3 sites before. With complete domain names, weekly updates, paid posts and pictures. When I logged-in today, I was surprised to see all my banners are gone! Being out dated with free image hosting sites, I searched and searched online. Then I stumbled with the flicker site. I know I had an account before and I tried to recover it. Thank you
Flickr! I can access again my photos and I was surprised on how much pictures I had in there and it's
STILL THERE. I love you
Flickr. Now my banners are up!

New Role
I finally updated my profile on UW and started submitting proposals. From all 29 projected clients, I finally got a reply last night. Everything is new to me that's why I'm going through baby steps and I think I'm doing good so far. I am learning and that's important. Anyway, the job is about writing articles and I was a little nervous when I number of articles to be submitted every week. Since this is my starting point, I took the challenge head on. I submitted my resume and signed contract. Now, I think to carry a pen and a pad wherever I go.
I also got one declined proposal due to lack of experience, but that will not stop me from pushing myself forward until I get the title that I'm aiming for.
For now, I'm digesting and savoring my new title--Content Writer. Wish me luck!

Additional Online Task
Today I updated my Upwork profile, work experiences and started submitting proposals. I hoping to bag additional work load so I can earn extra. I've the Virtual Careers by JH and I was inspired to try it out. I have a laptop, fast internet and blog writing experience so it's worth the shot. Honestly, I am knew to this kind of work and I am still trying to familiarized myself on the How-to's, Do's and Don'ts. I know I have a lot to learn in this new field and hopefully I also be a work-from-home-mothers who are featured in the book. Let's see how this goes.

AUGUST
Month of August feels like rain. When I check old posts from my social media account, it's all typhoon and school suspension. I hope this year we'll get not so many typhoon. But I would appreciate a little drizzle every and then though. And in a couple of weeks, it's gonna be the start of that Filipino long Christmas feel.

New post
There was a QAC post opened about 2 weeks ago and I did not hesitate to apply. After I submitted my letter of intent, I was both relieved and nervous. Nervous--because I haven't done any interview for the past couple of years. Yes, I'm on my 11th year with the company that's why I really need to level up. I was interviewed by two of our account heads and one of them whom I really worked with for the past 4 years in my current account. But when I came to know who also applied for the position, I got second chances, but it's worth the shot. And the fact the I applied for a higher position means that they we are aware and I am aiming for an higher post.
A couple of days later, I was interviewed for the STSP post in our account and I think I really did great. I pretty much had their heads nodding in satisfaction the whole time. After that interview, I was called again buy our account head for feedback. I was notified that I did not get the QAC position and it was okay. I knew I would not get it since the other guy had the experience and all... and I had another position that I knew I would get. Couple of days later, I was informed that I nailed the interview--Top1. But it was a tie with another tech. So they pulled out all our stats for the last quarter and sadly I did not make the STSP cut... but I automatically for the Back-up QM post.
It was a blessing in disguise really because I getting the STSP post would mean adjustments on the payroll. And the last thing I wanted is a performance-based incentive.
Anyway, if there's a new post available,.. I would definitely grab it.

TGIF!
I'm excited every Friday because I have weekend day-offs. We're going to Bulacan tomorrow and I look forward on lunch. FIL serves the best lunch. It's also payday-friday so I expect traffic when I get off from work. I'll probably listen to good music just in case I'll stuck in traffic. I'm not in hurry anyway. Enjoy the weekend guys!

DSL Lunch
It has been a family tradition to gather and celebrate birthdays. In the DSL family (my hubby's side of the family), they or we celebrate all family member birthday's every month. So today we'll have another family lunch in Marilao, Bulacan (my hubby residential home). We'll celebrate all the September birthday, to which in includes my hubby's birthday (which is on the 25th) and Tito Benny's Thanksgiving for a successful gallstone operation last week. I'll be bringing in dynamite for some spicy appetizer, my mom's special kaldereta and a Happy Birthday cake from S&R. I don't have pictures yet but I'll soon try to post more here ( yes, I will try).
Anyway. it's still early but I'll probably get ready.... Happy Sunday everyone!

Beauty is pain
I've been planning my self pamper for the last few weeks and today it came true. With only three hours of sleep after work, I got up and went to the salon. I had a nice trim and had them re-touch the highlights with red violet, got hair spa treatment so the treated hair won't dry up, plus a good foot spa with manicure and pedicure. I send a text to our family friend dermatologist and got confirmation that she'll drop by. So after the salon, I went home, helped the kiddo with her school work and before I know it, Dr. Joan was on her way. It was really nice of her to drop by. Familiar pain never fails to remind me that Beauty is pain hahaha. Thanks doc for the home service acne peel treatment.
Finally got that re-touch that I wanted. So happy.

Kitchen Mood Swings
I'm having one of those kitchen mood swings again. There comes a time when I want to spend my day in the kitchen and times that I don't wanna even eat at all (like right now). I'm practical down to no recipe to cook at all. Sad but true. But I'm still keeping my hopes up. There's this one dish that I'm dying to try. Maybe it'll fire upy desire to cook again. Or maybe I just wanna get out of this place. Anyway, I will reveal my dish once it's done. But for now, we'll settle for unhealthy fried food--temporarily.
PS: Hello to my neice YANI, (i was informed) who regularly reads my stuff. Thank you!
