Strawberry taho!
It's been weeks and I haven't uploaded our Baguio pictures. Bad. But there's one photo that really caught my attention. Kiddo and chubby asked for the Strawberry taho and they were busy ever since. I was waiting for them to look up so I can take a photo (at Lourdes) but it seems they were too busy (very busy!). So I guess the strawberry taho was so yummy and it took these two playful kids to a halt!

MAGALAWA ISLAND
Been dreaming about MAGALAWA ISLAND since last year and finally we had our chance last week. Armada resort offers an all-in package of Php1,400 per person. That package includes over night stay in the island with 2-way boat ride, entrance fee, nipa hut good for 6 persons, meals (lunch upon arrival, dinner, breakfast and lunch before departure) and snorkeling. Not bad right?
It's a 4-5 hour drive to Palauig, Zambales and from there, a boat ride going to the island. We choose to park at Palauig because the boat ride from there is shorter.

We arrived around 2pm and our lunch was waiting for us. We settled down and checked the place. Our beach front nipa hut was cool. We got into our swim wear and checked the beach.
~ Beach here is way better than Anawangin. ~
Thanks to my sister for lending us her Lumix. We did capture a lot of precious moments hehehe. And good thing my underwater camera is still working.

Dinner was awesome. They served seafoods, unlimited rice plus soda and dessert. Solb talaga. They sell cold drinks and beer to complete that night of relaxing beside the beach. They do not allow load music and partying at night. In respect to visitors who wants to sleep and relax.
The next day, breakfast were served--hotdogs, embotido and eggs with fried rice and coffee. Sorry I didn't took pictures hehehe. Then we checked the beach again waited for our 8AM snorkeling appointment.

So proud of the kiddo coz she was not afraid. She definitely enjoyed the snorkeling part. Careful with the current though, it's quite strong from time to time. I had a hard time, swimming-while-holding the kiddo-with a camera. So please be careful!

I didn't spend that much time underwater because I was busy watching the kiddo. But of course I took a glimpse on what's under water and it was amazing.

Then we head back to the beach where we spend quality fun time. I super love the water and sand. Water was so clear, I can still see my foot even with the water up to my chin.

Hubby and the kiddo spend time in the shore playing with some star fish and shells. Me, I prefer to be in the water and swam a lot.

We took a bath around 11am and had our lunch. We packed our bags and waited for our boat. And while waiting---picture picture!

It was hot that day and my skin was already burned but still I insist to go to tip of the island for picture taking hehehe. They don't allow guests to swim in this area because the current is stronger here. Notice the color of the water--it's darker just a few meters away which is very deep.

At mawawala ba naman ang aking solo jump shot? Syempre hindi hehehe! Super init nun pero okay lang. Mejo creepy lang sa dulo ng island. Walang alon pero kitang-kita ang current. Katakot db.

MAGALAWA ISLAND
Off to MAGALAWA ISLAND later with work peeps and family. Take-off @ 7AM and meet-up at Petron north expressway.
I've been hearing positives comments about this place and some publish negative posts about the Armada Resort. I hope this trip will be a smooth one because we are so looking forward to this. Beach time before school starts. (Pic c/o Magalawa Island)

Core Group @ Little Angels Home
Watta weekend it is! Kiddo and I went with the rest of the CORE GROUP for an outreach program. April 14: We arrived at Little Angels Homes in Tagaytay with pledges, donation goods and Jollibee lunch for the kids and staff of the orphanage. We let the kids play and eat. The kiddo even gave away the loot bags to the kids in the orphanage.
I brought the kiddo with me because I wanted to let her understand how lucky she is to have a mom and dad with a home and food on the table. Hopefully, she'll bring with her this lesson selflessness and willing to help when she grows up.

~ CORE GROUP @ Little Angels Home, Tagaytay ~After the event, we had lunch at Mahogany, picked-up some grocery at Robinson's and went to Woodsborough log cabin to spend the night. We had a chance to bond with each other and had a lot of me-and-kiddo-time too!
Next day, woke-up early to bath and prepared to go. We had coffee at Bag of Beans and attend mass at Lourdes Parish. Then straight to Picnic groove for our picnic lunch and the kids went horse back riding after. We also bought pasalubong at Rowena's on our way home.

Montemar
What I love summer is the beach! The sand on my feet and salty water on my skin. It's like an instant spa for the whole body. Montemar--this is our favorite family destination since we were still kids. Now, I brought my kid there. I took this solo shot (below) because I remembered my dad would make us stand by the shore and pose like this too. Unfortunately, I can't find my own shot.
~ Montemar Beach Resort ~I know some people doesn't like to be exposed to the sun too much, but me, I don't mind at all. Because I'm one of those lucky individuals who gets the normal skin back in a few months. So what else did I do in beach yesterday? Siesta of course!
~ Siesta by the beach ~Yup! Nothing beats a peaceful siesta by the beach, with cool salty air and waves. I really had a nice time even though we only had a day. Next stop... Magalawa Island and Palawan... soon!

Subic
We are here in Subic. Finished the Sea Lion and Dolphin show this morning at Ocean Adventure and had lunch at Xtremely Xpresso Cafe. Big Ben's pizza never fails to full an empty stomach. We are on our way back to Ocean Adventure to claim our cd from the photo souvenir. Yes I did touch them and it was creepy (for me that is). Then we'll go to Zoobic Safari next. Have a great weekend to all.

Thunderbird, Poro Point La Union
It's our second day here and we're going home tomorrow. Love everything here. The room, service, accommodation, mood, pool, etc. Minus the beach because it's small and full of seaweeds. But we still had fun time together. Quality family time. Anyway, here are some pictures taken from the iTouch. I wish apple would make an iTouch with better cameras. To the beach we go!
My sister J just arrived this afternoon from Dubai. We ate dinner--yummy spag and shakey's pizza. Now we're packing our bags for the beach tomorrow. I was suppose to stay home but the little kiddo wants to come and my dad insist that I should go too because my sister is here. Good thing the hubby is so considerate and he let us go with them. So here we are busy busy getting ready. I hope the pain killer will do the trick tomorrow. To the beach we go!

Marry Me Amy in Davao [day3]
Second day at Paradise Island was a blast. Woke up at exactly 5am to catch the morning sun.
~ Paradise Island beach at 5:30 in the morning. ~So we did more swimming and more picture taking until cam's battery went dead.
~ More swimming. AC, Ardey and Liz. ~
~ Yeah Singit si joey sa likod hehehehe.~ We went back to Joey's pad after lunch so we can prepare for the open jam that evening. But AC, Wabs and I wanted to go out... and so we did.
~ Quibol residence. ~So we went mall hopping, San Pedro Church etc.
~ AC and Liz :: Streets of Davao. ~We went back late afternoon. Just in time to prepare -- dinner and open jam. Fiesta.
I was drunk, tired and happy that night. And I slept super late, like I didn't care that we had an early flight the next day. Thanks to Joey's family for the warm accommodation.

Marry Me Amy in Davao [day2]
I was drunk and tired from the gig the night before that's why I had a slight headache when I woke up the next day. Joey's mom prepare a light breakfast for us. Coffee! Coffee! and then we hit the road.
First, we went to The Philippine Eagle Center in Malagos. Joey, Papsie and me waited outside while others made their way inside. We already went there last year, so we just chatted in the cafe' area. How can I forget? The smell of Durian was irritating because a group of people were eating lunch and had durian for dessert. Tsk.
~ MMA at The Philippine Eagle Center, Davao ~Everybody's already hungry after that but we decided that we eat at Paradise Island. Tiis gutom muna. But before that, we bought fresh milk and fruits for pasalubong. More pictures *here*

We paid Php250 for an overnight stay at the beach. We hurried and changed to our swim wears, ordered food, took more pictures with the beautiful sunset.

Ac and I wore the same swimming top! We were both surprised and laughed it off. I can't deny the fact that we think the same sometimes. Maybe that's why we're friends --share the same passion for Music, loves cake, chocolates, movies, boys?! hahahaha!
I had 3 long island ice tea that night because I didn't want a big tummy from beer when I sleep. Besides, the air was cold and I need the heat from my drink. I crashed around 2am and got up at 5am because I didn't want to miss the sunrise the next day...

Marry Me Amy in Davao [day1]
I got up early, took a bath and gathered my things for our Davao trip. Excited? YES!
We took the 7:55am flight to Davao via Cebu Pacific, but unfortunately the flight was delayed one hour. It's was okay because we're still on schedule.
~ Waiting at the airport. ~We arrived in Davao around noon time and our stomach's already complaining. Joey had a little car trouble but it was fixed after an hour. We went to ate Olga's place to eat. That was already around 2pm.
~ Late lunch was worth it. Food was great! ~We went to back Joey's place after that. We bought fruits from the local fruit stall as requested by Papsie. Then bought last minute Things-To-buy in the supermarket before we head home again. Joey, moi and Papsie went to the airport to fetch AC around 7:30pm.
Gig started late because of technical problems but everything went well except for our set hahaha. See more pictures *here*

Super friends conquers HK - Day 8
This is our last day in HongKong and we spent it on museums and parks nearby. Quick breakfast again and we went to Kawloon park. Ang ganda ng park. Super quiet at parang ang sarap mag basa ng book or mag drawing doon hehe. Tapos inisa-isa namin yung mga museums. Too bad, yung planitarium sarado for renovations. Last stop was the Avenue of stars. ~ Hulaan nyo kung asan ako jan... hihi. ~Avenue of stars parang sa Hollywood pero mga intsek yung mga artista hehehe. Sempre nag pa-picture lang ako dun sa kilala ko.

~ Jackie Chan. ~Then we ate lunch and packed our bags. We all had our last minute shopping and I spent it in Tom Lee in Cameron Road. Himala talaga kase napagkasya ko lahat sa maleta ko ang mga maruruming damit plus mga pasalubong. Not mention yung mga boots! Take note - mga boots.
~ Bus ride to the airport. Sad? Mejo. ~The airport is huge and spacious. Buti nalang Filipino yung nasa check-in counter kase as expected, nag over kami. The lady help us sort our things para hindi malaki babayaran namin. Nako salamat po!
~ Flight NJ 143 ~It was also a smooth ride on the way back home. At sempre pagdating namin sa Naia Terminal 3, OUT na naman ang suot ko. Pinag titinginan na naman ako ng mga tao na parang taga ibang planeta nako. Hindi talaga nila trip ang attire ko - Dress and boots. Panget ba?
~ Missing my little girl... ~Sa wakas natapos rin ang HK update na to. Sa totoo lang naduduwal nako kaka-update nito. Sa susunod na post ko, beach namin! Calling super friends! Meeting na.

Super friends conquers HK - Day 7
We had a quick breakfast again and headed straight to the ticket terminal and bought ourselves a two-way ticket to MACAU. We returned on a certain time because it's much cheaper plus we did some serious night shopping back in Hong Kong.
~ Ticket to ride. ~It was a fast ride to Macau. The wind was strong that's why the ferry was swaying. Good thing I have high tolerance sa lula. Many were at the back - throwing up. No joke.
Macau is such a nice place. Same weather as Hong Kong and there were a lot of Filipinos working there. They have numerous 5-star hotels which they offer $100 each (casino money) to visitors like us. Yes, we tried the slot machines and some of us even won, including me.

We asked directions to St. Paul's ruins church and Thank God there's this Chinese girl who knows where. When we got there, I noticed that the road turned to brick stones just like in Italy.
We passed this narrow brick stone road. Along the way, stores offered free taste of cookies and other delicacies. So By the time we got to St. Paul's church, I was full hahaha!. Free food!
~ St. Paul's Ruins Church ~There were so many tourist and most of them are in group with matching outfits and flags. We learned why it was called St. Paul's Ruins and the ruins itself is well-preserved - like the front side of the church is still standing, main altar is there, and other retrieved church belongings and paintings are there. And so it was time to go but I can't go without trying the street food! I went to this nice looking woman who sells...er... street foods. First I don't know which one to choose. So pinili ko nalang yung mukhang tokwa at fish balls.

~ Manang pagbilan nga po.. &%*$*#&$! Ano raw?! Tokwa nga po! ~The woman boiled it and put some curry sauce. I asked her to put little of that famous spicy curry sauce. Konti nga lang pero super anghang parin! Lumalabas talaga yung uhog ko!
~ In fairness.. masarap sya! I want more pa! ~Then I saw this girl eating a delicious looking ice cream, so I knew there was a ice cream store nearby. I was right! Je-jeng!
~ Fruit based ice cream - Lemon Cello Gelato. ~One cup of this costs $25 each - expensive yes, but it was worth it. Ang sarap sarap talaga! At kakaiba mga flavors. Yung fruits pero yung iba may twist, like Raisin rhum.
