... that on January 25 is the American Hand Transplant Day? In 1999, 51 surgeons, nurses, and researchers at Jewish Hospital worked 15 hours to transplant a donor's hand to Matthew Scott. Scott became the first American and only the third person in the world to receive a hand transplant.
