Did you know?
Did you know...
... that today is New Year's Eve in many countries? In 1904, the New Year's ball dropped for the first time in Times Square, New York City. In Japan, everyone laughs at the stroke of midnight to ensure good luck in the New Year. In the Philippines, children jump ten times when the clock strikes twelve, hoping to grow taller in the new year. In Mexico, some people take out their suitcases and walk around the block, hoping it would help them travel during the next year. Have a great New Year!

Better to be safe
I heard from the news this early evening that police everywhere are dispatching more
emergency assistance because of the holiday season. It's the busiest time of the year and everyone is always on the go, therefore accidents are bound to happen. I'm not saying it's going to happen but just to be sure everyone's safe, medical assistance are readily available in the most crowded places, like the mall, tiangge, concerts, parks and carnival. I hope everybody's safe today.

job search
The hubby went to a job interview yesterday because he plans to move to a different company by early next year. I advised him to search more just on the Internet because they offer more opportunities, just like in
philly work, they have jobs available already. I'm starting to think to move to another company that offers fix schedule time. Let's see.

Big box
Every year, we receive big box padala from the MIL in the States. It's been her tradition running almost 4 years ever since the little kiddo was born. I remembered when the first box arrived, the little kiddo barely knew what's going on. And now, she's the first one to ask about it. SIL will bring the boxes here and we'll all open it at the same. I'm excited. Good thing, shipping boxes are built durable and it can hold just about anything. I wonder what's inside.

School again
A Month ago, me and my friends decided to go to school again. We didn't mind that we're old or anything because a lot of people go back to school despite the age difference with the other students. But I'm thinking that I would not have enough time for work and family, and then schooling at the same time. That's why I'm checking on other options, like getting an
online degreeinstead. That way, I can balance my time for work, family and do my studies during my free time. I still want to study and pursue a second degree so maybe this
masters degree online is the answer.

Eat out
We had a quick band rehearsal last Saturday minus one because
del was still sick. Since Joey and I doesn't have any commitments after, we decided to tag along with
Aimz. Eat out in Trinoma and Starbucks coffee after. It really took the stress out of my system. Maybe we should this more often and next time it should be four of us.

Sludge Factory
Sludge Factory. This was our band's name when I was working at L2 about 4-5 years ago. We still keep each other updated even though we're already working with different companies. Yesterday was Pol's birthday and I knew I had to attend even though I had an event that evening. I didn't let it pass because birthdays like this only comes once a year and I had to see them. Miss these guys! Yup, I'm a little drunk in the photo haha.

more renovations
Like I mentioned from the previous post, we had the other room renovated over the weekend. New floor tiles are now in place and room really looked lively, bright and clean. We haven't finished moving the furnitures around though, because we need extra wall paper and a nice lamp beside the bed. I'm excited how the room will look like when it's finish. I'm also wondering how the room will look like if we have
glass tile instead of the ordinary ones. Hhmm.. just wondering.

renovations
We had the other room renovated over the weekend. So we spend the weekend cleaning and dusting everywhere here. But at last, it's over. The FIL plans to have the whole house painted as well and work on some more renovation in the bath room. I suggested to replace the sink with a
Toto sink because the old one is no good anymore. We might work on some more this coming weekend so we can have newer home before Christmas comes.

Christmas parties
With only days before Christmas, I can tell everybody's feeling that Christmas spirit already. Shoppers are already out scouting for sale items all over the metro. Some people take advantage of the holiday season by setting special occasions like birthdays, baptism and more especially weddings. Sometimes we would need to attend multiple parties and gatherings in a week, that's why I suggested that we keep a couple of cocktail dresses and
tuxedo in the closet for times like this. Party on.

Travel
I've noticed I get the travel itch every year end. Maybe because the anticipation on where will I be next year is what I'm always thinking about during the holiday season. And yes, we have plans already. Zitros will be meeting two of the sisters in Singapore some time in early March. I know it;s not yet final but we are all very excited about it. I asked them to book an early flight so we can check on
destin vacations while we're there.
