Undecided
I'm still undecided on what I will do on my birthday because Baguio trip was already cancelled. My sister asked me if I wanted to go swimming. I'm having second thoughts because I'm thinking about now is just to stay home. I'm also checking on this cool salomon sense mantra for women. I really liked the dark cloud color with a score of blue. A real kick-ass if you ask me. And I thought this would be great if I wanted to back on jogging. This will replace my 7-year-old running shoes. So what to do? Go out or buy shoes for me. Let's see....

Cancelled plans
I've been wanting to go back to Baguio because our recent trip with the hubby's family was so bitin hehe. We just drove around town, slept in the hotel and went home. I don't have any complains because it was a family trip. So me and my friend Lanie were planning to go this coming Feb. 22-23. Yup it's a birthday trip for me. We plan to sleep in one of the affordable trans homes, eat in famous and delicious carinderya, check-out SM baguio, walk around town and also tambay outside the terrace and enjoy the cool breeze of Baguio. Then I learned that it's also the flower festival and almost all the trans houses were fully booked already. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the trip. Bummer. But it's okay. We are still decided to go there and we'd probably stay 2 nights so we can check-out all the sites. We'll just wait for the off peak season and off we go.

It's still my life long dream to use a 5-string bass and that dream is still a dream. If I get the chance to play again, I would definitely get one! And I already have a brand in mind hahaha! Another dream of mine is to play fretless. Because I believe playing fretless is like playing by heart. If I want to learn something new, I'd probably go for the 12-string guitar. It's been my fear of using too many strings all these years hahaha. But I think the
danelectro 12 string is a kick-ass!

Kiddo's Birthday Party @ KFC Congressional Ave
After months of planning, the Kiddo's Birthday party finally became a reality. And all in all, she's pretty satisfied. We picked KFC because based on my survey (haha!) kids (and adults) loves KFC and we're lucky to have a branch near our place. So we invited everybody! From classmates, relatives and friends. I decided no photobooth for now because we wanted it to be as traditional and simple as possible. And yeah, the budget is sakto sakto lang hahaha.
I'm lucky to have a supportive family who helped me prepare for the party... Sister M for the invites, banner and sticker lay-out. Sister A for the banner print-out. Sister Zj for the loot bags. SIL for the souvenirs. FIL for the kiddo's shoes. MIL for the chocolates, toys and added budget and my mom and dad for the cake.
We bought her dress a day before the party at Trinoma and it's really lovely. Suits her I must say.

The host also suggested the 7 dance and the 7 wishes which made the party even more meaningful. Kids enjoyed the games, guests enjoyed the food. Thanks to KFC, it really made our kid's birthday special and less hassle for me too.

Music
It's been months and months since I last jammed with my band and the project band, and I still miss the feeling of butterflies in the stomach before and during a gig. I miss setting-up the gear--bass, cord, amp etc. And I miss the after party haha! Been so busy taking care of the family and sometime I'm thinking of a time-out. But honestly, I really don't know where to go. I feel something's missing in my life and probably it's music. Still hoping to get my music mojos back on track soon maybe? But I'm so happy to see my dad kicking some ass during their jam sessions. I told him to get a behringer microphones at Musicians Friend, probably I'll save it for the next jam of my band.

Happy Birthday Kiddo!
We celebrated the kiddo's 7th birthday at home with family and close friends. The day turned out to be great. We feast on good food cooked by yours truly and a friend of mine.

Background check!
Since our house help is no longer available, we've been dividing chores and attending to the kid. And now that Christmas is over, it's back to normal again--school and work, and we realized we need house help asap. The hubby needs to go back to on-training, exercise and find a job, and that leaves the kiddo alone in the house. I've been asking around and already thinking of getting one through agency. I know I'll be costly but at least I will have a little overview of their background since agencies will get background check services already. For every background checks is a must, especially nowadays.

Perfect gift
My little girl will turn 7 in a few days and she's showing signs of a big girl already. Sad for me because my baby is indeed growing so fast. Her reading skills improved, she's doing chores in the house and her interest in animals is still there. She even ask for me to get her a bunny rabbit on her birthday. Unfortunately, I really don't like animals. The hubby plans to get her accessories of our dog instead, because he saw this nice store that sells dog bed, clothes, and even horse blanket, weird but they do. Anyway, I already found the perfect gift for my little and I'm very excited to see her face when she opens it.
