We're planning for a New Year Get-Away and everything's all been set. Found couple of infos online, booked our stay, made IT, checklist complete and we're all set! We just can't keep our feet in one place... New Year Get-Away here we come! =)
... that in addition to being Martin Luther King Day, January 18 is also the birthday of the Polygraph? In 1951, the first lie detector test using a polygraph took place in the Netherlands. Trivia buffs: A polygraph measures and records blood pressure, pulse, respiration, breathing rhythms, body temperature and skin conductivity.
I was asking my sister where are they going to spend their new year because the hubby and I were thinking of spending it somewhere else. Yes. Away from home--for a change. My sister said they plan to spend it in their newly finished building in Las Pinas. I wish we can go there because I heard they are a lot of newly installed interior, like the glass mosaic tiles and not to mention the most awaited elevator. Hubby and I still needs to talk about where are we going to spend our New Year and I wish we can come up with something fast because it's just a few days before New Year's day!
I've been asking the hubby to start biking again because he really needs to slim down and fast. He already did tried biking before and it really did a great job cutting down the fat. Right now, he's having a hard time starting up again with the old hobby but it's okay because I remembered when I first had my exercise routine, I had a really hard time at first. But the hubby promised that he'd start biking in a few days and he does, maybe we can get one of those hitch bike racks for his bike.
It was my first time to go to this grocery store near our place. I was not suppose to go there but we really need some stuff in the house so I was forced to visit the store. I did not mind the cashier area because my mind was pre-occupied with the things I was suppose to get. When I got everything in the basket, I proceeded to the cashier and was so anxious to get things done, when my mouth opened because the store was still using manual system! Can you believe a grocery store without a barcode scanner? And yes, you guessed it right, people started to complain because of the slow service. I admit that I'm one of the people who walked out of the store and looked for another with faster and more convenient service. I think they should upgrade because they loose more customers.
... that on January 17 is White House Children Day? In 1806, Martha Randolph, Thomas Jefferson's daughter, gave birth to James Madison Randolph, the first child born in the White House.
Happy Wedding Anniversary to the Best Parents in the world! Hope you enjoy your vacation there in Dubai and don't forget our pasalubong! Love love to Papsie and Mamsie...
What's worst than a day when you're car breaks down and you really need to go. I don't want that to happen to me that's why the hubby keeps everything in tip top shape. Good for me, I have a handy man husband. But sometimes parts are very hard to get especially if you have an old car, like we do. Then I saw briggs stratton site. It's a repair clinic that lets you order online and deliver the parts on the same day. Wow. What an amazing service. If only we have the same repair clinic here in the country, then we wouldn't have a hard time scouting for some parts.
I went to the mall lately and browsed through the stores and checked something I want to get for myself. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything interesting, so me and the kiddo went straight to get some groceries. Then I remembered, I chatted with the MIL the other day and she mentioned that she have a couple of cardigan sweaters for me in the box. Wow! I can't wait to see those sweaters. So maybe I don't need to buy a one after all. I'll wait until January comes and then I'll have my new sweater. Hoooray!
Hubby and I planned to sell the car so we can buy a bug. We always like the bug and the kiddo agreed that we get one once we have sell the car. My dad's friend planned to get the car but until now, we haven't received an answer yet. And all those thinking made us realize that we don't really want to sell the car. It already brought luck to us and we don't want that luck to go away so we have decided to just have the car fixed and maybe get a cheap auto insurance rate. A/C and the alternator were already fixed. Hubby plans to have a change oil next week. And who knows, maybe can have the upholstery changed too if we have the money.
I haven't totally started my new diet agenda because of this new baking hobby that I have right now. And I really really wanted this to work because I plan to make money out of it. Good thing i attended a baking class and finally started with 20 pcs box of brownies that my sister ordered. So maybe after the holidays I can start my new diet routine that why I'm starting to read about lipofuze reviews because I might try it next year, if my schedule permits me.
It's still a few days left before the our account's EOL party. We only had one band practice last week and off we go on the 18th on the actual party. Jam was never a problem because my officemates are really good musicians. Anyway, we all agreed that we produce a hard copy of the songs we're going to play and the ones we haven't played it. So it'll be easy for our other friends to jam with us on the actual party itself. Good thing it's so easy to get lyrics and chords on the Internet. I just check the right ones and will collate everything later on. But what I noticed on those websites are the click here ads which are a total waste of time. Oh well, that's advertising. Okay, back to work with the songs...
... that on January 16 is Las Vegas Performer Day? In 1996, singer Wayne Newton performed his 25,000th Vegas show. He first performed in Las Vegas in 1959.
Amy just finished posting our latest gig pictures from last week and the zit I had 6 days ago left a horrible mark waaah! Now I really need nanocleanse to clear the acne and fortify the skin! I think I need to take 'extra' care of my skin especially the face because you'll never say what other people will say about you, especially for us artist. Good thing I thought of hand poses to cover up the mark, for the mean time...
It's the holidays again and I'm thinking what I really want to have this Christmas. A new TV? or maybe new pair of shoes but the question is-- Do I really need them? So I thought and realized that I badly need a new cellphone. I've been relying on hand me down cellphone for years now and maybe this time, I deserve a high tech one. And so the Nokia C7 caught my attention.
I love the super sleek and curved design with stainless and glass covering. Plus, it's touch screen for easy navigation and browsing facebook (yes!) and twitter. Wow, I haven't had a touch screen cellphone before...
What I love most on the Nokia C7 is the high-quality photos and HD video using the 8 megapixel camera! I travel most of the time during gigs and bringing a digicam is sometimes a hassel! Well, honestly, I always forget to bring my camera hahaha! But NOT my cellphone so I thought it would be swell if I have a "quality" phone that I can use during gigs, because my old nokia phone now does not seem to take good pictures anymore. The Nokia C7 will surely rock during gig night!
And what's really a plus for the Nokia C7 is I can play music out loud on the powerful Nokia Mini Speaker MD-9! I can really use this during rehearsals and live gigs, and not to mention during jam nights. I can easily record and document draft songs and compositions so I won't forget them. So there's more reason for us to ROCK! Cool!
Wow! This is truly an artists' bestfriend. I'm already in love with the new Nokia C7 and hopefully my wish will come true this Christmas! What more can I ask for? a Nokia C7 of course!
I really wanted an iTouch ever since it came out in the market. I tried to save but during that time, we badly need the money and I had to give it away to the kiddo's tuition. And then I became more frustrated when my ipod broke down. It's like the end of the world for me. I was loosing my gadgets and it's the only high tech gadget that's left. There are a lot of ipods in the market now to choose from. I was thinking of getting the cheapest one but my instincts told to wait. So now the lastest iTouch is out and I super liked it! I wish I can have one this Christmas. I guess I have to wish harder...
I badly need an oven! Maybe if I can get the hubby to approve, we can turn the furniture again so the oven would fit. What bothers me is that the sofa is quite big for the space. If only we have the contemporary sofa design it probably fit here and we could squeeze in some more things in between. Oh well. For now, I really need to get things started. Oven oven oven! I really wanna bake more cakes.
I'm a frustrated chef and I really really want to cook like the pros and recently baking caught my attention. My mom suggested that I attend classes so I found one at Heny Sison. So I attended one of their class this morning -- Baking 101 workshop and it was much fun! We got to make butter bread, after eight brownies, best chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles and choco banana cake and wow! I can't believe it's so easy to do...
Marry Me Amy jam later this afternoon. Too bad Raymond cannot join us because he has work so we have decided that Marry Me Amy should go accoustic. Will be jamming the afternoon away today and hopefully we'll put up a good show tommorrow at the World Trader Center. Goodluck to us!
... that on January 15 is Procrastinator's New Year? If you are a procrastinator, you should be getting around to celebrating the new year on that day.
We spend the weekend at my FIL's house and while we're there, we went to the mall to get some stuff for the new apartment. We bought easy to install cabinet for the kitchen because there's so many kitchen stuff that's need to put away. And at last we also got a new bathroom faucet. There's so many things to do when we get home and I'm excited to fix and re-arrange the furniture again.
