Merced
Here we are, 9AM wide awake on a Sunday and having breakfast @ Merced--one of our favorite places to eat. This resto been a family eat-out tradition especially when +Papang and +Mamang was with us.

One of the owners gave us each a nice flower. She said, it brings luck; and it's also their wedding anniversary. How sweet. Next stop church and then Tagaytay, but I'll be staying home after church because I have work later at night.

Up coming wedding gig
We have a wedding gig on the 4th and we are feeling anxious and excited at the same time. I know I shouldn't be anxious anymore since I've been playing in front of the crowd for as long as I can remember. But I just don't know why the butterflies still remains before every gig.
I already confirmed with the groom (my friend) the amps that we need at the venue, but I still plan to bring my own amp, plus a couple of microphones. I know how those lights and sounds suppliers attitude when it comes to gigs like this. Because I'm also a supplier. I just hope they are using the mixing desk so we can add more microphones during the gig so we won't pass the mic around.
Anxious and excited. Hope everything will be smooth.

Welcome home
It's was super late but we're still up and awake. Sister and her fiance is finally home. We had a quick tour in the house, ate dinner and lounge around in the attic for a nice talk and some picture taking. The kiddo took this shot btw. It really looks like we're having a pajama party haha.

Car talk
The hubby expressed this interest on pick-up trucks a few years back. I thought most men prefers pick-up/trucks or trailers but I just brush away that thought until his brother bought a pick-up truck complete with a trailer hitch recently. Then me the hubby would engage in a small joke-time argument about cars where he would enumerate the uses and advantages of trucks, and to be honest, I can't even give him one reason why it's a good vehicle hahaha. Yes not one. Maybe it just doesn't catch my attention just like the rest. But if we get the chance to own a car, we would definitely get one for the hubby and another one for me. Sound good right.

Our room
I'm not much of an interior person and I usually leave the decorating to the hubby because I don't want to move things around. All I want is some space for myself and to work with. The hubby recently re-decorated our bedroom and now it looked more spacious. Now we can sit in the middle with the kiddo's chair and the hubby plans to get more bean bag chairs. Our room is beginning to improve. All it needs is a new bed for us and the kiddo.

Beauty is pain
I've been planning my self pamper for the last few weeks and today it came true. With only three hours of sleep after work, I got up and went to the salon. I had a nice trim and had them re-touch the highlights with red violet, got hair spa treatment so the treated hair won't dry up, plus a good foot spa with manicure and pedicure. I send a text to our family friend dermatologist and got confirmation that she'll drop by. So after the salon, I went home, helped the kiddo with her school work and before I know it, Dr. Joan was on her way. It was really nice of her to drop by. Familiar pain never fails to remind me that Beauty is pain hahaha. Thanks doc for the home service acne peel treatment.
Finally got that re-touch that I wanted. So happy.

4th of July
When I was a kid, 4th of July means a big celebration because it was my grand parents wedding anniversary. When I got older, I realized that it was the same day as the 4th of July Independence day in the US. So it's a dual celebration...

French Baker
Hubby and I went out to settle the phone bills in the mall yesterday and we thought to eat while we're there. It's been awhile since we have eaten in French Baker and yesterday, we reminisce all the 'dates' we had. I remembered we always hang out there while planning our wedding, after the wedding and when the kiddo was born. I think that branch witnessed our transformation as a couple. From friends to bfs/gfs, and from engaged to a happy family. Anyway, kiddo was not with us because she was still in school. We ordered our favorite--soup in a bowl, club house (suppose to be chicken ala king, but it was not available) and a apple turn over for dessert. Soup in a bowl was a classic.
